These are the first baby items Justin and I bought. We got them on our trip to Portland, OR a couple months ago. I think they're pretty unisex. I love the little pumpkin head hat!
Tomorrow is the start of my second trimester! My belly is now a baby bump. Today at the grocery store the cashier asked, "are you having a boy or a girl"? She is the first stranger to say something about me being pregnant. It was awesome! Now people can tell I'm pregnant and not just chubby!
I'm finally feeling good. I'm not nearly as tired as I had been. I went a whole work week with out napping at the end of the day. I can also go a longer period of time without eating and not feel super sick.
This past week I was told that I'm "glowing". So, I guess I now have that pregnancy glow :)
Today we went to the doc and heard the baby's heartbeat! It was an exciting and terrifying experience. No one ever told me that sometimes it takes a few minutes to find the baby to hear the heartbeat. The nurse was searching for what felt like forever. She had a concerned look on her face. I was so upset and scared, thinking that something was wrong. Finally she found the right spot! We heard the baby! 152 beats!
My first trimester has not been too bad. I've only thrown up once, during the sixth week. I was nauseous week six through about ten. Eating something small seemed to be the only way to make it better. If I didn't eat every couple hours I would get so sick.
My biggest problem has been the fatigue. It really put a hold on hitting the gym. And, I missed four weeks of yoga classes. The past couple weeks I've been feeling very insecure about my body changing. I'm built with a little more in the butt and thigh area. I've gained 5 pounds and even though I have quite the baby bump, I feel like my ass is huge!
