Check up Today! Getting ready for the weekend!

This weekend we're heading to PA for my baby shower and diaper party. My brothers are in charge of the diaper party, as you can tell by the flyer. (Justin and I do not drink at all, ever.)
It should be a fun and interesting weekend!
Today I had a check up. Everything looks good. His heartbeat was 145 beats per minute. My stomach is the right size. So, four more weeks until my next appt.
A couple days ago I finally had to take out my navel jewelry. My belly is just too damn big. It's not that I really cared to have it or was into the way it looked, it's just that I've had it for over ten years and it feels and looks weird not having it. My belly button is pretty deep. I wonder when it's going to turn inside out?

Weekend in the Mountains

This past weekend we stayed in Burnsville, right outside of Asheville, NC. Justin's Mom and her husband have a little mountain house that we stay at. It was so nice to relax and not have a to-do-list. On saturday we went into Asheville to eat and walk around. The weather was perfect! I think it was around 78 degrees and breezy. It was a much needed break from the brutal Charlotte tempatures! Saturday night Justin built a fire and we cooked fake Chicken over the fire and made smores :)

Bateman had a great time! Even though we can't let him run loose outside, he still loves to explore and poop in new places.

20 Weeks! (1/2 Way There)

I'm 20 weeks and a few days today. I have a giant belly, it's hard to believe it's only gonna get bigger!  I've started to feel a more movement. Kicks or punches, maybe?
We purchased an infant heart listener this past weekend. Unfortunately, it did not work and we need to return it to Walmart. It's the Graco brand which I knew didn't have good reviews. We bought it because they didn't have the Infantino brand listener, which is supposed to be better. I was really hoping to be able to hear him.
We're half way along and there's so much to do!

Justin's Mom got him this shirt for Father's Day! Haha, cute!  As you can tell by the second photo has has been wearing the shirt...I'm not sure if it's just wrinkled or dirty.

This is the current state of the nursery right now.  It's hard to find places for all of my stuff in other areas of the house. I also threw away a bunch of things and I have a Goodwill pile.
I hope to have the room cleared in the next couple weeks. At least the walls are already painted. We're keeping them yellow.

Our 4th of July

On the 4th of July we spent 3 hours registering at Babies R Us! And, there are still a hand full of items that we need to add to our Target and Walmart registrys! Justin was very indecisive and was worried about picking the wrong things, ha. He also was very concerned about patterns and such.
This is a "Weeblock". We picked a couple of these. I'd rather not get pee in my eye.
We didn't see any fireworks this year. Instead we went to see a movie, "Away We Go". It was so cute and funny. It's about a couple pregnant with their first baby, traveling around to figure out where they should settle down. I highly recommend this
movie :)
