New Tatty...And, Time to Start Baby Proofing!

This was completed a couple weeks ago. Thanks to Chris Stuartfor the wonderful piece!
I hope Dexter likes it! I'm sure it will be totally uncool to him by the time he's a teenager :)
This photo is a couple weeks old. He started pulling himself up in the crib! We lowered it this past weekend.  He's all over the place now. Rolling and scooting to get to things.
He also attemps to crawl...
Yay for the new shopping cart cover! We got it from Bella Sarah Boutique.
I like it, but it doesn't fit the big Target carts very well. Bummer.
P.S. My son is amazing. I ♥ sooo much, it's overwhelming.

Trip to PA, Part II

While in PA, Justin, Joshy, Dexter and I all went to Presque Isle Beach. We just stopped for a little while and we were all lathered up with sunscreen! The weather was great! Not too hot, like it is in Charlotte right now.

We had a great trip, hanging out with friends and family. Dexter had so much fun. He learned to wave "bye bye" while we were there. I think GrandPaul taught him that. And, his top front teeth broke through and another bottom one started to come in. He has 5 teeth now!
Can't wait until xmas to see everyone again!

Trip Home to NE, Part I

This past week was our first long rode trip with Dexter. Last Friday night we drove through the night to North East, PA. We arrived around 5am. Dexter slept through the whole drive!
We got a few hours of sleep then it was time for my Uncle Gary's memorial and a family party at my Aunt Brenda's house. She lives over the border in New York State.
Get ready for tons of pics...
(The top pic is a family photo. We haven't had one with everyone in many years.)

Memorial: Uncle Gary's ashes, Milwaukee's Best beer, and Blueberries all went into the grave. My Brother, Jamie putting the urn in the ground.
Dexter at the memorial. He was bombarded by the whole family wanting to meet and hold him. He loved it! No fear of strangers yet.

We had a great day with the family! And, this was just the first day.
Part II coming soon, hopefully within a week. We arrived home this morning around 3:30am and I have a busy week ahead of me. It was so nice to have a week just to hang out and enjoy watching Dexter play :)

7 Months...Ka-Boom!

I've been so so busy lately! We leave to go see my family in PA this evening. 10 hour drive, about 600 miles, through the night. Here's hoping that Dexter will sleep through the drive. And, that the dog won't wake him up!
There has been a lot going on with little Dexter these past couple weeks.
Such as:
*His 3rd tooth broke through. Upper, right front. He's been waking up pretty early crying so loud, but not opening his eyes :(
*He had his first big fall. He fell off of the couch. I totally take the blame. I thought he was falling asleep, I turned my back for one second and he was on was on the floor. It was so sad. Of course we had no idea what to do. Take him to the hospital? But he ended up to be fine, a little red spot on his head, but it went away after a few hours. I think it mainly scared the crap out of him!
*He rode in the stroller without the car seat for the first time. I'm sure he's been ready for a while, but this was the first time we had used the stroller in some time. He had fun! We're lucky, so far, he's really good in stores.
Dexter turned 7 months old on June 30th! Here he is trying to grab Spitfire's tail. He is fascinated by the cat!
Big post once we return from our trip, I'll find the time. My mom hasn't seen Dexter since Easter! And, this will be the first time he meets a lot of his relatives (on my side), including his Uncle Jamie (my brother)!
